The outer-ring western St. Louis County suburbs along I-64/US-40, anchored by Chesterfield (home to the historic Chesterfield Mall, the Chesterfield Valley retail corridor, and the former Monsanto corporate campus now occupied by Bayer Crop Science), Wildwood (the largest city by area in St. Louis County), Ballwin, Ellisville, Manchester, Creve Coeur (home to Bayer/Monsanto's North American HQ and the Danforth Plant Science Center), Town and Country, Des Peres, and Olivette. West County is the most affluent large suburban area in the St. Louis metro.
