The eastern and southern Hampden County communities. Anchored by Longmeadow (an affluent Springfield suburb along the Connecticut border, consistently one of the highest-rated school districts in Western Massachusetts) and East Longmeadow (just east of Longmeadow, home to the Johnson Memorial Hospital and the Pioneer Valley Railroad freight hub). The region also includes Wilbraham (home of Wilbraham & Monson Academy prep school), Hampden (small rural town), Ludlow (a historic mill town with a large Portuguese-American community), Palmer (the 'Town of the Seven Railroads'), Monson, Brimfield (home of the massive Brimfield Antique Show), Ware, and Holland.
