City of Sioux Falls

The city of Sioux Falls itself, the largest city in South Dakota and the commercial and cultural center of the eastern half of the state. This region contains downtown Sioux Falls (the historic Cathedral of St. Joseph, the Washington Pavilion for the Performing Arts, the Phillips Avenue shopping and restaurant corridor), Falls Park (the Big Sioux River cascades that give the city its name), the Empire Mall area, the Sanford Health/USD Medical Center campus (the world headquarters of Sanford Health, one of the largest health systems in the US), and the fast-growing east and south side residential districts.
