Seaford, Laurel & Western Sussex

US-13 / DE-20 / DE-404

The western (Nanticoke River) side of Sussex County, along the US-13 corridor north of Salisbury. Anchored by Seaford (the 'Nylon Capital of the World' — home to the original 1939 DuPont nylon plant) and Laurel (a historic town on Broad Creek). Also includes Bridgeville, Greenwood, Ellendale, Blades, Delmar (DE side of the twin town), and Bethel. The region is the heart of Delmarva's poultry and agricultural industry — Mountaire Farms and Perdue operations dot the area. US-13 and the Norfolk Southern Delmarva rail line connect north to Dover and south to Salisbury.
