The inland eastern half of Sussex County, between the beach communities and the western farming corridor. Anchored by Georgetown (the Sussex County seat and site of the biennial 'Return Day' political tradition) and Milton (a historic shipbuilding town and home to the Dogfish Head Brewery). The region also includes Milford (the southern portion that spans into Kent County), Millsboro (a fast-growing community near Indian River Bay), Long Neck, Dagsboro, Frankford, and Milton. Georgetown is a major logistics hub due to its central Sussex location.
