Northeast Sacramento County

The established suburban communities northeast of downtown Sacramento along the I-80 corridor, stretching from Arden-Arcade through Carmichael, Fair Oaks, and Orangevale to Citrus Heights. These unincorporated CDPs and smaller cities line the north bank of the American River, offering mature tree-lined neighborhoods, access to the American River Parkway, and proximity to both downtown Sacramento and the Roseville employment corridor. Citrus Heights is the region's sole incorporated city.
