US-9 / Metro-North Hudson Line / Mid-Hudson Bridge

The central core of Dutchess County, anchored by the City of Poughkeepsie (the county seat and northern terminus of Metro-North Hudson Line service, 100 minutes from Grand Central), Marist College, Vassar College, and the Mid-Hudson Bridge crossing to Ulster County. Just north is Hyde Park — the historic estate region along US-9 with the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Home National Historic Site, the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site, Val-Kill (Eleanor Roosevelt's retreat), and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). The region also includes LaGrange, Pleasant Valley, Arlington, and the Poughkeepsie town suburbs surrounding the city.
