Northeast Davidson & Lakefront

The suburban communities in northeastern Davidson County and the lakefront areas along Old Hickory Lake, including the CDPs of Madison, Donelson, Hermitage, and Old Hickory. Madison is a large suburban community north of the Cumberland River with diverse housing and a growing commercial corridor. Donelson, adjacent to Nashville International Airport (BNA), offers established mid-century neighborhoods and the Donelson-Hermitage transit corridor. Hermitage, named for Andrew Jackson's historic plantation (The Hermitage), provides affordable suburban housing east of the city center. Old Hickory and Lakewood sit on the shores of Old Hickory Lake. These communities are within Nashville-Davidson's consolidated government but maintain distinct suburban identities with their own commercial centers.
