The west side of the city of Madison plus Middleton and the western Dane County communities. Middleton is home to American Family Insurance's world headquarters and has consistently ranked among the best small cities in America. Middleton, Shorewood Hills (a small affluent village surrounded by Madison), and the UW-Madison arboretum/west campus area anchor the western corridor. The Beltline Highway (US-12/18) forms the region's primary east-west spine.
