The three outer Madison MSA counties: Columbia (north, anchored by Portage and Lodi), Green (south, anchored by Monroe and New Glarus), and Iowa (west, anchored by Dodgeville, Mineral Point, and the Lands' End headquarters). New Glarus is known as 'America's Little Switzerland' with Swiss-Alpine architecture and the New Glarus Brewing Company. Mineral Point is a historic lead-mining town with restored 19th-century Cornish stone buildings. Dodgeville is home to Lands' End's world headquarters.
