Southwest Jefferson County

The communities west and southwest of the Watterson Expressway including Shively, Pleasure Ridge Park (PRP), Valley Station, and Fairdale along the Dixie Highway and I-264 corridors. This working-class corridor is home to TARC's Dixie Rapid BRT line (Kentucky's first bus rapid transit), Fort Knox-adjacent military families, and some of the most affordable housing in Jefferson County. The Ohio River forms the western boundary.
