Bullitt County

The fast-growing suburban county directly south of Jefferson County along I-65, anchored by the county seat of Shepherdsville and the rapidly expanding city of Mount Washington. Hillview and Brooks form the northern gateway. Bullitt County offers significantly lower property taxes than Jefferson County, newer subdivision housing, and a 20-30 minute commute to downtown Louisville. The Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest is a major natural asset.
