Gateway Cities

The dense suburban corridor of southeast LA County stretching from Downey and Whittier south through Norwalk, Cerritos, and Lakewood. Named for their geographic position as a gateway between LA and Orange County, these communities offer relatively affordable housing compared to the Westside and South Bay. The C Line light rail serves the southern edge, and Metrolink commuter rail connects through Norwalk. The I-5, I-605, and I-105 freeways provide regional access.
