The suburban communities north and northeast of North Little Rock along the US 67/167 corridor, anchored by Sherwood and Jacksonville. Sherwood is a retail and healthcare hub with direct freeway access to downtown. Jacksonville is home to Little Rock Air Force Base, the metro's largest military installation. The corridor is undergoing a major widening project as the future Interstate 57 extension takes shape.
