The rural northern and western portions of Androscoggin County. Anchored by Poland (home to the Poland Spring Resort — the original spring that gave the Poland Spring bottled water brand its name, now owned by BlueTriton Brands), Minot, Turner, Leeds (on Lake Androscoggin), Livermore, Livermore Falls (on the Androscoggin River), Mechanic Falls (a historic mill town straddling the Little Androscoggin), and the farm and woodland towns toward Oxford County and the western Maine mountains. The region is characterized by rolling farm country, small villages, and the upper Androscoggin River valley.
