I-20 West

The western corridor from Jackson through Clinton along I-20 and US 80. West Jackson is home to Jackson State University, a historically Black university, and the working-class neighborhoods west of downtown. Clinton, the tenth-largest city in Mississippi, is a college town anchored by Mississippi College and offers a mix of historic charm and modern suburban amenities. The I-220 loop connects this area to north Jackson and I-55. Raymond, a co-county seat of Hinds County, sits to the southwest with Hinds Community College.
