I-55 South

The southern corridor along I-55 from Byram through Copiah County. Byram, incorporated in 2009, is one of the metro's newest cities and a rapidly growing suburb south of Jackson. Terry is a small town along the interstate. Farther south, Crystal Springs and Hazlehurst serve as the population centers of Copiah County, an agricultural area known as the 'Tomatopolis of the World.' This corridor offers the metro's most affordable housing and a rural-suburban lifestyle.
