Morgan & Shelby Counties

I-74 / SR-37

Two smaller outer-ring counties in the Indianapolis MSA: Morgan County (south, anchored by Martinsville along SR-37/I-69) and Shelby County (southeast, anchored by Shelbyville along I-74). Both counties offer small-city character, significantly lower housing costs than the northern suburbs, and rural-residential lifestyles within commuting distance of Indianapolis. The I-69 corridor south of Marion County is the primary growth spine for Morgan County.
