The southwest side of Fort Wayne along the Jefferson Boulevard, Illinois Road, and Homestead Road corridors — home to Southwest Allen County Schools (SACS), consistently one of the top-rated districts in Indiana. This region contains the Jefferson Pointe retail corridor, Lutheran Hospital, and the Aboite Township residential developments. The city of Fort Wayne annexed much of Aboite Township in 2006.
