Central El Paso & Downtown

The historic heart of El Paso, centered on Downtown and the international bridges to Ciudad Juarez. This region includes some of the city's oldest neighborhoods — Sunset Heights, Manhattan Heights, Segundo Barrio, Five Points, and the Austin Terrace historic district. Downtown features the restored El Paso Streetcar, the Plaza Theatre, and a growing arts and dining scene. Fort Bliss, home to the 1st Armored Division and one of the largest military installations in the U.S., dominates the northeast portion of this region with its own CDP (pop. ~11,260).
