The western Oakland County suburbs along I-96 and M-5, anchored by Novi, Farmington Hills, West Bloomfield, and Milford. Novi contains the Twelve Oaks Mall, the Suburban Collection Showplace, and the headquarters of numerous automotive suppliers. West Bloomfield, Orchard Lake, and Sylvan Lake form a lakes-and-hills residential cluster. Wixom, Milford, and the Highland-White Lake corridor mark the western exurban edge.
