Southeast Volusia

The three waterfront communities at the southern end of Volusia County: New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, and Oak Hill. New Smyrna Beach is an arts-and-surfing town known for Flagler Avenue, a historic beachside commercial district, and proximity to Canaveral National Seashore. Edgewater sits along the Indian River with affordable waterfront living and rapid residential growth. Oak Hill, the southernmost city in the county, is a small fishing community on Mosquito Lagoon. This area has its own distinct identity, served by the Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce and Votran's southeast routes.
