Teller County & Woodland Park
US-24 West
Teller County, the mountain county west of Pikes Peak along US-24. Woodland Park (the county seat and primary population center, sometimes called 'The City Above the Clouds' for its 8,500-foot elevation) offers a mountain-town alternative within practical commuting distance of Colorado Springs (~30 minutes via US-24 over Ute Pass). Cripple Creek and Victor are historic gold-mining towns on the south side of Pikes Peak, with casino gaming and mining heritage tourism. Divide, Florissant, and Manitou Park round out the county's small communities.
