I-88 R&D Corridor

The central-western suburban county along I-88 (the Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway) and the Metra BNSF and UP-West lines. DuPage County is home to Naperville — one of the largest and highest-rated suburbs in Illinois — along with Wheaton (county seat), Oak Brook (corporate headquarters of McDonald's and Ace Hardware), and the DuPage Forest Preserve system. The I-88 'Illinois Research and Development Corridor' hosts Argonne National Laboratory, Fermilab (straddling the Kane line), and a dense cluster of corporate campuses.
