Lookout Mountain & West Side

The mountainside and valley communities west and south of downtown, from historic St. Elmo at the base of Lookout Mountain up to the summit towns of Lookout Mountain TN (pop. 2,058) and Lookout Mountain GA (pop. 1,663). Lookout Valley and Tiftonia sit in the valley between Lookout and Raccoon Mountains along I-24. East Ridge (pop. 22,485) borders Georgia to the south. This area blends Civil War heritage, scenic mountain living, and working-class neighborhoods with proximity to downtown.
