The residential suburbs stretching north along US-27 from Hixson through Soddy-Daisy to Sale Creek. Hixson (pop. ~40,000) is the commercial heart with shopping centers along Hixson Pike and access to Chester Frost Park on Chickamauga Lake. Soddy-Daisy (pop. 13,070) offers small-town character with lake access. Middle Valley (pop. 12,282) sits between them. Lakesite (pop. 1,856) is an exclusive lakefront community. This corridor has the metro's largest concentration of new residential construction.
