Uptown & South End

Charlotte's urban core centered on the intersection of Trade and Tryon Streets, extending south along the LYNX Blue Line light rail through the booming South End district and into the historic streetcar neighborhoods of Dilworth, Elizabeth, and Myers Park. Uptown is the region's financial center -- home to Bank of America and Truist headquarters, the Spectrum Center arena, and the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. South End has transformed from a former industrial corridor into Charlotte's hottest mixed-use district with breweries, food halls, and transit-oriented apartments. Dilworth and Myers Park offer tree-lined streets with early-twentieth-century homes and walkable commercial nodes. The Blue Line provides direct rail access from I-485/South Boulevard through South End to Uptown and north to UNC Charlotte.
