I-26 Corridor

The commercial and industrial hub of the tri-county area, straddling Charleston and Berkeley counties along the I-26 corridor. North Charleston (pop. ~126,000) is the third-largest city in South Carolina and home to the Charleston International Airport, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner assembly plant, Joint Base Charleston, and the North Charleston Coliseum. The Park Circle neighborhood has undergone major revitalization. Hanahan (pop. ~21,500) is a tree-lined residential city between North Charleston and Goose Creek. The region offers the metro's most affordable urban housing.
