The vast inland and northern reaches of Lee County, stretching from North Fort Myers -- the unincorporated community across the Caloosahatchee from downtown Fort Myers -- east through Tice to the sprawling census-designated place of Lehigh Acres. North Fort Myers offers waterfront properties along the river and more affordable suburban homes further north along US-41. Lehigh Acres is one of the largest CDPs in Florida (pop. ~133,000), a massive grid of residential lots originally platted in the 1950s and now experiencing rapid build-out with affordable single-family homes. Lochmoor Waterway Estates sits between them along the river's north bank.
