West Baton Rouge & Iberville

The communities on the west bank of the Mississippi River, connected to Baton Rouge via the I-10 Horace Wilkinson Bridge and the US-190 bridge. Port Allen (pop. 5,000) is the West Baton Rouge Parish seat, directly across the river from downtown. Addis (pop. 6,700) and Brusly (pop. 2,600) lie south along the river. Plaquemine (pop. 6,300), the Iberville Parish seat, sits farther south. St. Gabriel (pop. 6,400) is on the east bank of Iberville Parish. This corridor features sugar cane agriculture and industrial facilities along River Road.
