The two largest mainland townships in Atlantic County by area. Egg Harbor Township (EHT) is the metro's largest municipality by population outside Atlantic City, home to the Atlantic City International Airport (ACY), the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center (the nation's principal aviation R&D facility), Bader Field (the former AC Municipal Airport), Hamilton Mall, and numerous golf courses and suburban subdivisions. Galloway Township occupies the northern mainland from the Parkway eastward into the Pine Barrens and is home to Stockton University and the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge.
