West Anchorage

The residential neighborhoods west of Minnesota Drive and south of the airport, bordered by Cook Inlet and Kincaid Park. This area includes the eclectic Spenard corridor, family-friendly Turnagain with its Coastal Trail access, Sand Lake with its lakes and wetlands, and Bayshore-Klatt near Turnagain Arm. Home to the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and Lake Hood -- the world's largest floatplane base.
