The southern suburban arc of Albany County, stretching from the Hudson River along US-9W and NY-32 toward the Helderberg Escarpment. Anchored by the Town of Bethlehem (including the hamlet of Delmar, where the town government sits, and Glenmont along the river), New Scotland (including Voorheesville), Ravena and Coeymans (along the Hudson), and the smaller communities of Selkirk (Conrail's Selkirk Yard is one of the largest rail classification yards in the Northeast). The region is served by the Bethlehem, Voorheesville, and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk school districts and features the Thacher State Park on the Helderberg Escarpment.
