Portage County, the eastern Akron MSA county along I-76 and SR-59, anchored by Kent (home of Kent State University, one of Ohio's largest public universities), Ravenna (the county seat), Aurora, Streetsboro, and Brimfield. Aurora sits in the far-northern corner of Portage County on the Cleveland metro line and hosts the Aurora Premium Outlets. Kent is a classic college town with a walkable downtown that has been revitalized through a major downtown plan over the past decade.
